Why Polar keep my watch running the battery down?

I have a Polar watch / heart rate monitor, and replace the battery, and then 2 days later, is showing low battery symbol. I changed batteries twice, and keep running down. Not sure why. The light is not on, so I know that's not it. Thanks for any input.

Polar has a good return / exchange policy. I just want to send everything back to get a new one. Most likely there is a defect in any of the watch or monitor human resources.
