I'm training for half marathon and I use pulse oximeter in the gym and I'm always at 96 or 97?

I am 34 and body abused over the years, but I'm trying the best now. Can improve performance with exercise and the time or I'm stuck with having a smaller amount of oxygen to use? I know that these results are not terrible, but always ask someone from your finger and the other is always at 99 or 100. You can reverse this? Thanks everyone!

I would not trust too much on the results of a treadmill. I have always found marathon and ribbon results are unreliable at best. Just going out and running, with training, its not impossible to improve.
