Are there problems associated with the use of a low bench press?

My gym uses banks which may not vary between the different angles inclination angle and flat bench. My friend says that there is any problem that occurs after you use a decline bench press. Is there a reason my gym specific failed banks could adjust in decline? Also, the gym has 2 banks decreased to very low mean minor cracks AB. Banks are used for dumbbell presses be dangerous?
